New Country Boxes are Coming!

I am working to get the boxes packed and out to you this week. Where did we go?  I felt like we needed to go back to the Northern Hemisphere. This small country is surrounded by 5 seas. We don’t speak the language. Those are 3 good hints and should help you narrow it down. Can you guess?

Landing in Australia

Watch this landing at Sydney’s Charles Kingsford- Smith Airport.  Seeing it from the air would build so much excitement for me.  Look at the way the land and water intertwine.  As you get closer you can see the beautiful beaches and boats off the coast.  I bet you couldn’t get your bathing suit on fast enough after getting off that 15 hour long flight!

 

 

Next Country Boxes went out today!

Hey guys!  I dropped in to see UPS today and had them box your items and send them out.  I ran out of ink for my printer this morning and couldn’t print your photos from ………X.  I sent those by email to you so you will have them to look at.  I will send the printed photos for your photo album soon.  This will probably be a short month with this country as we are a little behind in our travels.  I will have to be faithful in getting up early to post information so I can get the next box out quickly.  Thank goodness it is still summer and the light is with us longer.  That makes it all the easier.  I think of you all as I look up information.  I want the posts to be interesting and different from what you would get elsewhere.  Lots of love to you all!  Nanna.

Boxes are going out in next day or so!

The new country box will be leaving to come with the big brown truck very soon.  I know you will just love where we are going next.  We are jumping around a lot haven’t we!  I will give you a hint….if we left right now you would need to dress for cooler weather.  We are going to have fun.

Rare white reindeer spotted

Do you remember the posting about the white giraffe in Tanzania?  From what you recall in that case – would you say that this deer is an ALBINO?  This deer was spotted in Sweden.  Let me know what you think.

Where are we going next?

I can’t wait to send information about the next Virtual Trip!  I was surprised to find that some of the items I ordered are taking an extended period of time to arrive.  They are all scheduled to be delivered by the end of March.  I will be sending it out at that time.  I know you will really enjoy our next location.

Working on Next Boxes!

I just want you to know that I am working frantically on your next travel box.  I am excited about this place.  I think you will like it as well.  I hope to have it out to you really soon but we are remodeling our bedrooms and it has been a real time taker.  I love you all and hope to share the next adventure soon.  But for now….more on Tanzania!

2nd Trip Boxes going out tomorrow!

I am headed to UPS with your boxes full of goodies about your 2nd trip to an awesome country!  I know you will like the souvenirs “we picked up” and the photos “we took.”  I will wait until the end of the week to start posting the links and information for this awesome country because I want it to be a surprise.

Your Nanna is working hard to learn how to build things because I want to build you each a memory box to keep things in. I have to learn how to use the router, saws, and such. I am learning how to buy wood and how to do something called Joinery.  YouTube is full of instructional videos so I am using them to help me.    It may be several months before I get the memory boxes to you.  Keep everything together so you can put it in them when they come.

The World is big and filled with wonderful places to see, great food to eat, and people to meet. I want to take Elias, Damien, and Bri to some of these places this year. Each month or so you will each receive a box with gifts from the place we visit. I will share with you some of the most interesting facts I found and tell you how we have to get around. Please share with me your thoughts as you explore with me.

We will pick places to travel and learn as we explore.

Your Christmas package includes items to get us prepared.  I am sending sample money from around the world.  I included stamps from far away places.  I have given you a genuine passport cover but the passport inside is just for our own fun.  Each month or two I will send another box about travel to another unique place.  I will send a sticker stamp that you can add to your passport.  I will send photos you can put in an album.  This website will include some awesome links so I can share some of the coolest things I found.   

I want you to know the customs for eating and some of the types of foods people enjoy in these places.  I want you to have a feel for what it is like in the “tourist” spots but also the more rural areas where the “regular” people live.  I hope you can see the differences in how we live in the USA and how people live in other lands.
